80′s madness

This past weekend my family and I went to a birthday party for Becca’s sister. The theme for the party was… you guessed it the 80′s! As soon as I heard about the party I knew what I was going to wear… the hunt was on!

Here are some silly shots when we were looking for glasses. I can’t believe these styles are cool again… what’s happening?

This is what happens when you let a 4 year old dress herself! She thinks it’s pretty funny to cross her eyes… I hope this phase passes soon!

Heidi tearin it up!

My HOT pregnant wife rockin out! She is going to be having our baby this Thursday!!!

Here’s the birthday girl… so old she needs magnified glass to read. LOL

And here it is… the Miami Vice suit that my AWESOME wife found for me. Thanks babe!

The cutest kids… EVER! I may be a little biased.

Ayden and Bentley crack me up… here are some images of them on Thanksgiving.

This grill kills me!

OLIVE-Her… I Love Her :)

Our vacation is on fire… literally!

As most of you know, my family and are are in the San Diego area on vacation. I spent the day shooting (images will be posted soon) and came back to pick up my family at the hotel so we could hit the beach. On the way to the beach, we saw black smoke billowing into the air about 10 miles inland. We drove over to see what was going on and this is what we saw.

When we finally made it to the beach, we watched the planes skim across the surface of the ocean long enough to fill up and then pull off the water to make another run. It was really fascinating how the pilots were able to repeatedly maneuver their planes across the top of the ocean and back into the air without even coming to a stop.

It was extremely disheartening to witness families packing their cherished belongings into their cars as fast as they could so that they could leave everything that wouldn’t fit behind. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has been or will be impacted by this disaster.

Dew Tour SLC: BMX Dirt

I have been really busy lately so hanging out with Ayden at the Dew Tour in SLC was a lot of fun! We had a blast watching the action from the front row and then walked over to the Gateway mall and had some dinner. It was some long awaited father and son time that I cherish so much.

Here are some shots of the action as we saw it.

The sun was setting behind the building (Triad Center) and shining right through the atrium.

James Foster, last years SLC Dew Tour winner.

The man… Ryan Nyquist!

Here is a shot of Mike Aitken, the local rider who took the #1 spot. The light you see in the top of the image is from a huge flood light mounted on a crane and yes, that’s the moon in the top right.

Check out this video to see how crazy good Mike is.

Another shot of Nyquist after he crashed on his second run. He didn’t have a good night and he wasn’t happy. Ayden was able to get is autograph on the back of his shirt.

This image is a prime example of why I LOVE my Nikon D3! It was taken on the street corner at 9:30 PM with available light (no flash) at 1600 ISO as we were leaving the BMX Dirt venue.
