I met Brooke a few years ago while photographing a concert. Brooke was just starting her photography career back then and I have to say that she has come a long way in such a short time. She has made quite name for herself. I was honored when she asked me to be her photographer for her wedding and also take her engagement portraits. I must admit that I was pretty nervous during this session because my photography styles is so different from her’s and I’m nervous that she won’t like them. Hopefully I’m wrong!

We drove up one of the canyons south of Salt Lake and I had a great time hanging out with Brooke and Steve! I am so excited for them and I can’t wait for their wedding.

This is one of my favorite images that I have ever captured! That is the moon (and stars) coming through the trees.

Ashley and Paul are two of the radest people I know! I had so much fun getting to know them and I am honored that they chose me to photograph their special day. After their engagement session I took them to my favorite sushi restaurant in SLC for dinner and enjoyed hearing the stories of how they met and how Paul proposed. I am so happy for them, they are perfect for each other.

A few weeks ago I met my awesome client Ashley at the salt flats for her bridal session. Even in the middle of a nasty wind storm she still looked amazing! You can see from the images below how much salt was in the air. When I got home, my gear and I were covered in salt.

Sydney’s Dance Portraits | utah photographer

I met up with Sydney at the Salt Flats this past Saturday to capture some images for her portfolio. I have had the privilege of photographing Sydney before and I can honestly say that she is one of the kindest people I have ever met. I look forward to many more shoots with her. Utah Jazz fans may recognize Sydney for being one on the Utah Jazz Dance team.

When I was editing the images from Sydney’s shoot I showed them to my daughter Bentley who is also a dancer and she told me that she wanted to be a Jazz Dancer when she grows up. “I’m going to practice every day” she told me. She has more determination than any kid I have ever met so I’m sure if she really wants to, she’ll be able to do it.

Ashley and Paul have to be some of my favorite people… EVER! We had so much fun bouncing around SLC for their engagement session. It was cooking outside and they were great sports. I love it when my clients give me their full trust to do whatever I want. I am excited about the images we captured during their session and I can’t wait for their wedding, it’s going to be RAD!

It was pretty warm so we decided to stop and get slurpee’s!!!
