I look forward to the days that I get to spend with my family. You know, those days when you have nowhere to be and no plans. Kids running in and out of the house each trip ends with the door left wide open because their hands are full of the sugar snacks they just pillaged from the pantry. Yeah, those are the days that I love the most. Today just happened to be one of those days and it was AWESOME!!! I got to spend some much needed time with my super sexy wife Becca and our amazing offspring 🙂 We just hung out all day, took two walks… oh yeah and did a quick photoshoot.
Becca is not only the sexiest woman on the planet, she is also my muse! I keep trying to talk her into shooting with me, hopefully one of these days she will!!!

Peek-a-boo, I see me.

Workshop Update:
I held my first workshop at my studio in SLC on May 13th and four amazing and talented photographers were in attendance. Each of them gave me a lot of good feedback which is leading me to make some changes to my upcoming working on June 10th. You can find out more info about my June lighting workshop here along with what the photographers who attended the May workshop have to say about their experience.
If you want to see an example of what you might learn at my lighting workshops keep reading…
Meet Julia:
As far as weather is concerned, it’s been a crazy couple of weeks here in Salt Lake City. One day it will be nice and warm with plenty of sunshine and the next it will be snowing (like today). Well, when I met Julia for her portfolio shoot it was just about to start pouring rain. We decided to wait it out and see if the rain would clear up and it didn’t… at least not for a while. At one point I thought I was going to get hit by lightening! Instead of postponing the shoot we decided to find a parking garage to shoot and I’m sure glad we did. The garage had some rad circles cut into the cement walls which I thought was perfect!
Julia is an aspiring model and this was her first photo shoot. She needed some fashion and swimsuit images for her portfolio… at 7:30 PM in 40 degree weather no less! She was a real trooper and she didn’t complain once even though I could sense that she was FREEZING! It probably took her two days to thaw out.
Join the conversation in the comments below and let her know what you think and wish her luck. She will be modeling at my upcoming workshop in June.

I’ve known Kylie and her family for about three years and I can’t say enough great things about them. They are an amazing family and I can honestly say that I am blessed to know them.
For her session we jetted to downtown SLC and Kylie rocked it!

It’s been pretty crazy weather here in the SLC lately and today was the first warmish and sunny day we’ve had in over a week. I took advantage of this beautiful weather by shooting a rockin lifestyles portrait session with Sydney. We had a ton of fun and captured some fun images. Here’s a quick taste, please leave some comment love if you like them. I will be posting more of the images from this shoot on the blog very soon so please check back!
