I will donate 50% of your wedding or session fee to help the Japanese humanitarian needs

As I write this post from the comfort of my office, thousands upon thousands of people are in turmoil in the middle of what is being called one of the worst tragedies in the history of the world. I NEVER watch the news because of the disgusting amount of negativity that is communicated but in times like this it’s impossible to ignore what is happening in the world.

Although my heart and prayers go out to those who are living in Japan and to those who have loved ones that are impacted by this disaster that is simply NOT ENOUGH!

I am going to put your money where my heart is!

From now until May 31st, if you book a wedding (any wedding) or a digital only portrait session ($500) with me I will donate 50% of your entire wedding or session expense (excluding travel expenses) to the American Red Cross to help with the humanitarian needs. For example, if you book a wedding for $3,000, $1,500 of it will be donated. If you book the digital only portrait session for $500, $250 of it will be donated.

This is a win-win for you. You get great photography for no additional cost and at the same time you are helping others!

If you are interested in participating in this effort or finding out more information please contact me using the “contact” link in the menu on this page.

Together we can make a difference.

Ayden and I love snowboarding… here are a few images from our adventures.

This snow was at least 7 feet deep.

I’m inspired to create :: utah wedding photographer

I have to thank my amazing wife for letting me spend all weekend tied to my laptop watching former photographer turned director Vincent Laforet share his film making wisdom and knowledge with the world on creativeLIVE. I also want to thank Vincent for sharing his experience with the world and Chase Jarvis for providing the platform for so many amazingly talented individuals to share.

If you are a photographer or film maker at any level and you don’t know who Vincent is or you don’t know what creativeLIVE is then you need to check out these sites. Although Chase started creativeLIVE a while back as a way for visual artists to share information with other visual artists, I just recently found the site and it’s definitely my favorite place to hang on the web!

To be honest, it was a little exhausting watching 24 hours of live streaming instructional video over 3 days. I will admit though that my mind has already started coming up with ideas for short films and things that I would like to capture.

I’m inspired to create.

Dear Nikon, please release a legit full frame HDSLR soon! I’m waiting.

Here is one of Vincents video’s that just makes me happy to watch. You can see many more of his film’s on vimeo.

August 3, 2011 - 7:29 am ryan - Hi Todd, I did get one and I've been pretty happy with it. I replaced the strap with a stretchy neoprene strap and it's more comfortable but the bag is durable and fashionable. I get lots of comments from other photographers asking where I got it. I'm glad I purchased it! Maybe I'll post a review about it on my blog soon. :)

August 1, 2011 - 3:49 pm Todd Aaron - Did you ever get the bag?

February 25, 2011 - 4:16 pm ryan - I can't wait to get it Ciara! Don't think I'll be using it as a diaper bag though. :) hahaha

February 25, 2011 - 9:27 am Ciara Richardson - I got the yellow Hobo Kelly Moore bag for Christmas and LOVE it. I even debated on this one though since it can hold a laptop and would make a great diaper bag. :)
