family fun | utah photographer

As a photographer I find inspiration in many forms, one of which are magazines. When I find images that I like, I tear the page(s) from the magazine and file them into an ever growing catalog which I call my photography bible. This is where I start when I’m looking for new ideas. I don’t try and recreate these images rather I use them as ideas for lighting, posing, etc.

I’ve had a stack of old magazines I’ve been avoiding for a while and Becca has been asking me to go through them so that she can get them out of the house. A pair of 9 year old eyes were carefully watching as I started tearing out the pages. Before I knew it, Ayden was standing over my shoulder asking me if he could tear some pages out too. As I finished with each magazine, I would had it to him. He looked like Edward Scissor hands as he destroyed the remainder of the pages. This is Ireland caught up in all the fun that ensued.

Be patient as it loads…
